Description

The Lions Club of Valaichchenai Town successfully organized a vital community blood donation camp on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the Koralai Pattu Divisional Secretariat premises, Valaichchenai. Recognizing the critical need for safe blood supplies to save precious lives in our healthcare system, this impactful initiative brought together community members, volunteers, and officials to support medical officers As a crucial pillar of public welfare, the camp aimed to bolster the blood bank reserves at the Teaching Hospital Batticaloa, ensuring timely medical interventions for patients in urgent need. ​In close collaboration with the administrative authorities, this project reflects our unwavering commitment to public health, humanitarian service, and strengthening community resilience. Under the visionary guidance of the District Governor for the 2026–2027 term, Lion G. Shahir Ahamed, and aligned with our core 'Care for Health' mandate, the Lions Club of Valachchenai Town successfully organized a blood donation camp.
