Description

Pathushalini, a Grade 11 student from a low-income family at St. Joseph Vaz School, Thadavanvely (Batticaloa), was selected to participate in an international wrestling competition in Austria. She required around LKR 600,000 for expenses, and the Lions Club of Batticaloa supported her with LKR 75,000. Although she did not win a medal, the experience motivated her to work harder and inspired other students in her small, rural school to take greater interest in sports.
