On June 8, 2026, the Lions Club of Singing Fish Leo successfully organized an education empowerment project dedicated to celebrating academic excellence by honoring 22 outstanding students from Chenkalady Central College for their exceptional performance in the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination. Executed at a total cost of approximately 25,000 Sri Lankan Rupees, the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of 10 volunteers, including four Lions Club members alongside six non-Lions community volunteers. The initiative was designed not only to provide meaningful recognition and small tokens of appreciation to the high achievers as motivation for their upcoming G.C.E. Advanced Level studies, but also to serve as an inspiring awareness drive for junior students preparing for their future examinations, demonstrating the rewards of diligence and fostering a culture of educational achievement within the school community.
