Description

The Lions Club of Batticaloa actively encourages its members to involve their family members in charitable initiatives. In line with this, the niece of one of our Lion members, who visited from Austria, generously contributed LKR 80,000 to the club. This contribution was utilized to support four students (three girls and one boy) from vulnerable, women-headed (single-parent) families across different education zones. These students are currently in their first year of Advanced Level studies. The support will be provided on a continuous basis, and if the students gain admission to university, they will be eligible to receive full scholarships to pursue their higher education.
