Biological Dengue Control: Larvivorous Fish Distribution Campaign In a highly strategic move to combat the spread of dengue vector-borne diseases, the Lions Club of Arayambathy Excellence launched a specialized biological control initiative of the Lionistic Year 2026-27. Dengue Prevention Through Biological Control: The clubs organized a community donation drive distributing larvivorous fish (such as Guppy or Gambusia) to be placed in wells, water tanks, and stagnant water bodies. This eco-friendly method directly targets and eliminates mosquito larvae, preventing the breeding of dengue-carrying mosquitoes at the source.
