Caring for Elders (Basic Essentials Dry Rations) – March 2026

Continuing its dedicated monthly outreach, the Lions Club of Bandarawela successfully implemented the Caring for Elders (Basic Essentials Dry Rations) project for the month of March 2026 at the Lion’s Sanasuma Elders Home in Amunudowa, Bandarawela.
This ongoing humanitarian effort remains focused on uplifting the quality of life of the resident elders by ensuring their essential daily requirements are consistently met with care and dignity. Throughout the month, the club provided a range of vital support including dry rations, wholesome meals, tea, and refreshments, helping to sustain a healthy and comfortable living environment.
In addition, necessary personal care items and household essentials were distributed to further enhance the well-being and hygiene standards of the home. These thoughtful contributions play a significant role in maintaining a warm, respectful, and nurturing atmosphere for the elders.
Through this initiative, a total of 32 elders and 5 staff members benefited, ensuring their nutritional and daily living needs were continuously supported.
