In response to the severe damages caused by the DITWA disaster, the Lions Club of Bandarawela has officially commenced a special reconstruction project at Haputale No.1 Tamil Vidyalaya.
This important initiative is focused on the reconstruction and renovation of toilet facilities and the repair of disaster-damaged school buildings, ensuring that students can return to a safe, hygienic, and properly functioning learning environment.
The project directly addresses the urgent needs created by the disaster, with an estimated cost of Rs. 1,000,000/-.
Through this timely intervention, the Lions Club of Bandarawela reaffirms its strong commitment to disaster recovery, community support, and the well-being of the students affected by the DITWA disaster.
