The community at Masjid Akbar celebrated a significant infrastructural upgrade today with the official handover of the newly extended ablution area. Designed to alleviate congestion and reduce waiting times for worshippers during the five daily prayers, the project saw the installation of nine additional taps, significantly increasing the facility's capacity. The ceremonial handover was conducted in the presence of distinguished guests, including Zone Chairman Lion Mathivathanan MJF MAF, the Club President, and dedicated members, alongside the Masjid management and local residents who will benefit directly from this enhancement.
The initiative was spearheaded by Project Chairman Lion Shamil Mohideen MAF, whose leadership ensured the successful execution of the expansion. With a total project valuation of 48,865/-, the upgrade represents a vital investment in the comfort and convenience of the congregation. By streamlining the pre-prayer ritual, the project fosters a more tranquil environment for worship, reflecting the collaborative spirit of the Lion’s Club and the Masjid administration in serving the public's needs.
