In response to the formal Ramazan Appeal issued by the Muslim Elders Home in Kattankudy, a significant contribution has been made to support the welfare of the 33 elderly residents currently under their care.
Recognizing the home’s 34-year history of providing essential services—including food, clothing, medical facilities, and funeral rites—Project Chairman Lion Bilaal Kaleel, PMAF, spearheaded this initiative to ensure the facility continues to operate smoothly despite the current economic challenges and rising costs of living in the country.
A total donation of Rs. 200,000/- was officially handed over to the home's management to assist with their monthly operational expenses, which currently exceed Rs. 600,000. This contribution, made at the specific request of the Elders Home Board of Directors, serves as a vital injection of funds during the Holy Month of Ramazan.
The donation aims to provide immediate relief and maintain the dignity of the "Elderly Fathers" residing at the home, fulfilling a shared community obligation of Zakath and Sathaka.
