The Lions Club of Valaichenai Town 306 D 10, responding to a request from the BT/KK/Murukkantheevu Sivashakthi Vidyalaya school community, held a foundation stone laying ceremony for a classroom building for differently-abled students. This project, worth approximately 600,000 Sri Lankan Rupees and addressing a long-standing need, was funded by the International Lions Club Foundation and implemented by the Valachchenai City Lions Club, with support from the Batticaloa Women's Lady Lions Club. District Governor Lion Mr. K. Logendran PMJF.PMAF presided over the event, which was attended by governor's council members, Lions Club members, parents, students, and teachers.
