Under the dedicated coordination and arrangements of our Lions Club, a series of meaningful support initiatives were successfully implemented with the generous involvement of well-wishers visiting from the United States. This collaborative effort reflects the strong spirit of international partnership and the shared commitment to empowering education within our community.
As part of this initiative, five deserving individuals from the University were carefully selected based on merit and financial need to receive assistance for their higher education. The selection process was carried out with great care to ensure that the support reached students who demonstrate both academic potential and genuine need.
Each selected beneficiary was awarded a scholarship of LKR 100,000 to support their postgraduate studies. This financial assistance is expected to significantly ease their economic burden, enabling them to focus more effectively on their academic pursuits and future career development.
This initiative not only contributes to the educational advancement of the recipients but also strengthens the broader vision of the Lions Club in fostering youth development, academic excellence, and community upliftment.
