Providing Tea and Refreshments – Mental Health Unit, Base Hospital Bandarawela
During August 2025, our club carried out the ongoing service project of providing tea and refreshments to the Mental Health Unit at the Base Hospital, Bandarawela. This project supported 35 trainees and 6 staff members who attend vocational training sessions every Tuesday and Friday. On each service day, around three Lions dedicated about two hours to ensure smooth coordination and care. This simple act of kindness brought comfort and encouragement to the beneficiaries while strengthening the spirit of service in our community. Project Details: Dates: 1st, 5th, 8th, 12th, 16th, 19th, 22nd, 26th, and 29th of August 2025. Total Days: 9. Beneficiaries per day: 41. Total Beneficiaries: 369. Cost per beneficiary: Rs. 200.00. Total Project Value: Rs. 73,800.00.
