Caring for Elders (Basic Essentials Dry Rations) – February 2026
Venue: Lion’s Sanasuma Elders Home, Amunudowa, Bandarawela
Continuing its compassionate monthly service, the Lions Club of Bandarawela successfully carried out the Caring for Elders (Basic Essentials Dry Rations) project during the month of February 2026 at the Lion’s Sanasuma Elders Home in Amunudowa, Bandarawela.
This ongoing humanitarian initiative is dedicated to ensuring the comfort, health, and well-being of the elders residing at the home. During the month, the club provided essential dry rations, nutritious meals, tea, and refreshments to support the daily needs of the residents. These provisions helped maintain a stable and nourishing environment for the elders while ensuring they continue to receive proper care and attention.
In addition to food supplies, essential personal care items and other necessary household supplies were also provided to help maintain a pleasant and dignified living environment. The project reflects the club’s continuous effort to create a caring atmosphere where elders feel respected, valued, and supported in their daily lives.
Through this initiative, 32 elders and 5 staff members benefited from the program, ensuring their nutritional requirements and essential daily needs were met throughout the month.
