Caring for Elders (Basic Essentials Dry Rations) – January 2026
Venue: Lion’s Sanasuma Elders Home, Amunudowa, Bandarawela
Continuing its heartfelt monthly commitment, the Lions Club of Bandarawela successfully conducted the Caring for Elders (Basic Essentials Dry Rations) project during the month of January 2026 at the Lion’s Sanasuma Elders Home.
This ongoing humanitarian initiative focused on enhancing the comfort and well-being of the resident elders by providing nutritious daily meals, tea and refreshments, along with essential dry ration supplies required for their day-to-day living.
During January, special emphasis was placed on maintaining a safe, caring, and homely environment for the elders. In addition to food provisions, necessary personal care items and useful supplies were distributed to support their health, dignity, and overall happiness.
This project directly benefited 32 elders and 5 staff members, ensuring their nutritional requirements and daily essentials were adequately met.

Total Project Value for January: Rs. 2,523,400.00
