Description

Joint Service Project – Donation of School Books In line with the Lions motto “We Serve”, a meaningful joint service project was successfully carried out by the Lions Club of Colombo Alvitigala Eminanus in collaboration with the Lions Club of Bandarawela, with the aim of supporting schoolchildren affected by the Ditta Cyclone disaster in the Badulla area. This humanitarian initiative involved the donation of school books to needy students, helping them continue their education during a difficult period. The project was held on 24th January 2026 at the Saiman Peris Ceremonial Hall, Badulla, and was graced by the presence and joint participation of Past District Governor Lion Ismath Hameed (PMJF / PMAF), Zone Chairman Lion Maduranga Manorathna (PMAF), along with Lions club members from both clubs. This joint effort stands as a fine example of unity, compassion, and dedicated service in responding to community needs. Together in service, united for humanity. Project Cost Rs 1,000,000/-
