Description

At the request of the Koralai Pattu Divisional Secretary, a programme to distribute learning materials to selected students who lost their educational equipment due to the flood disaster was held on 05.01.2026 at BT/KK/Muravodai Shakthi Vidyalaya. The event was attended by the Koralai Pattu Divisional Secretary, Mrs. Jayananthi Thiruchselvam; District Governor of Lions District 306 D10, Lion Mr. K. Logendran PMJF/PMAF; District Cabinet Member, Lion Mr. K. Ganapathy; Club Secretary, Lion Mr. M. Akileswaran; Club Treasurer, Lion Mr. K. Yogarajah MJF; School Principal, Mrs. Rosanthi Ganeshkumar; and the Economic Development Officer, Mr. Krishnapillai Logitharaj. With financial sponsorship from Lions Clubs International, through the LCF Fund, the Valachchenai Town Lions Club distributed learning materials, including school bags, valued at approximately LKR 165,500 to 31 selected students. Students affected by the flood disaster, including those who had lost one or both parents, along with their parents/guardians, benefited from this programme.
