Project Description:
The Lions Club of Batticaloa Singing Fish successfully organised a massive special appreciation project to felicitate the Public Health and Sanitation Staff of the Batticaloa Municipal Council. this Project was implemented in collaboration with the Batticaloa Municipal Council and support to organized the project, titled “Felicitating While Living,” was aimed at recognizing and honoring the dedicated service of sanitation and public health workers who serve the community tirelessly.
Event Highlights:
The program was conducted in a colourful and memorable manner, celebrating the dignity and importance of sanitation workers. The event was graced by the presence of the District Governor, Senior Vice District Governor (SVDG), Mayor of Batticaloa, Municipal Council Commissioner, District GAT Team, and members from other Lions Clubs.
As part of the project, safety T-shirts and hats were issued to all Public Health and Sanitation Staff to promote safety and visibility during their duties. In addition, lunch was provided to all participants, ensuring comfort and hospitality throughout the event.
Impact:
This initiative boosted the morale of sanitation workers, highlighted their vital role in maintaining public health, and strengthened cooperation between the Lions Club and municipal authorities.
Conclusion:
The Felicitating While Living project reflected the Lions Club of Batticaloa Singing Fish’s strong commitment to community appreciation, dignity of labor, and meaningful service, leaving a lasting and positive impression on all participants.
