M. Premaratna (PMAF) Project Description: Throughout December 2025, the Lions Club of Bandarawela continued its monthly ongoing service project by providing tea and refreshments to the Vocational Training Unit at the Base Hospital, Bandarawela. Conducted every Tuesday and Friday, this initiative was designed not only to offer physical refreshment but also to promote mental well-being, emotional comfort, and stress relief for trainees, patients, and staff members within the hospital environment. Each service session reached an average of 45 beneficiaries, including individuals engaged in vocational skill development, patients attending medical consultations, and staff attached to the unit. The welcoming atmosphere created through these sessions helped reduce anxiety, encourage positive interactions, and support the mental health and morale of all participants. Over the 8 service days, Lions members contributed a total of 20 Lion hours, personally serving refreshments while offering words of kindness and encouragement, reinforcing the importance of emotional support and mental health awareness alongside community service
