Caring for Elders (Maintenance) – December 2025 The Caring for Elders (Maintenance) project was successfully carried out throughout December 2025 at the Lion’s “Sanasuma” Elders Home, Amunudowa, Bandarawela. This meaningful monthly initiative continues to focus on maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-managed living environment while enhancing the overall quality of life of the elders under our care. During the month of December, the Lions Club of Bandarawela provided comprehensive support that included: • Continuous building maintenance and essential repair work • Settlement of monthly utility expenses, including electricity, water, gas, and telephone services • Providing transportation facilities for elders to attend medical appointments and meet daily needs • Conducting routine medical checkups and arranging necessary treatments • Conducting and supporting funeral arrangements for 03 elders with dignity and respect Lions members visited the Elders Home twice a week to monitor maintenance activities, review the well-being of the residents, and offer personal care and companionship. Their consistent presence reflects the club’s deep commitment to serving elders with compassion, respect, and responsibility. Total Project Cost: Rs. 417919.00
