Caring for Elders (Basic Essentials Dry Rations) – December 2025
Venue: Lion’s Sanasuma Elders Home, Amunudowa, Bandarawela
Continuing its compassionate monthly service, the Lions Club of Bandarawela successfully carried out the Caring for Elders (Basic Essentials Dry Rations) project throughout December 2025 at the Lion’s Sanasuma Elders Home. This meaningful initiative focused on ensuring the day-to-day comfort and well-being of the elders by providing wholesome daily meals, tea, refreshments, and all essential dry ration items.
During the month of December, special attention was given to creating a warm and caring environment, particularly in the spirit of the festive season. In addition to food and essentials, useful personal items and thoughtful gifts were distributed, bringing happiness, dignity, and emotional reassurance to the elders.
This project directly benefited 37 elders and 5 staff members, ensuring their nutritional needs and daily necessities were well supported.
Total Beneficiaries: 42 persons
Total Project Value for December: Rs. 2,473,800.00
Through this ongoing service, the Lions Club of Bandarawela once again reaffirmed its dedication to serving humanity by honoring and caring for our elders with love, compassion, and respect.
