In response to the severe flooding situation in Sri Lanka, which affected many vulnerable communities, our Lions Club successfully organized a humanitarian relief initiative. With the generous financial support of a friend residing in the United Kingdom, the project was implemented to assist flood-affected families. Under this initiative, essential items and dry ration packs were distributed to 140 affected families. This service project aimed to provide immediate relief and support to families facing hardship due to the floods. The project reflects the Lions Club’s commitment to humanitarian service and solidarity with communities in times of disaster.
