Distribution of Learning Materials to Students Affected by the Disaster by the Lions Club of Eravur Supreme
Under the project titled “Let Us Lend a Hand for Education,” initiated by the Eastern Provincial Department of Education to distribute learning materials to students who lost their educational supplies due to the recent natural disaster, the Batticaloa Central Education Zone carried out the collection of learning materials, footwear, and school uniforms. In line with this initiative, the Lions Club of Eravur Supreme handed over learning materials today (05).
The handover was carried out by Lions Club President M.S.M. Safras, Zone President A.R. Aasheek, along with members of the club, to the Zonal Director of Education, Mr. M.M. Jawad.
The event was also attended by Mr. A. Riyas, Manager of the Teacher Resource Centre, as well as officials and staff of the Zonal Education Office.
