Caring for Elders (Maintenance) – November 2025
The “Caring for Elders (Maintenance)” project continued successfully throughout November 2025 at the Lion’s “Sanasuma” Elders Home, Amunudowa, Bandarawela. This ongoing monthly initiative is dedicated to ensuring the proper functioning, upkeep, and overall well-being of the elders residing at the home.
During the month of November, the support provided included:
• Regular building maintenance and essential repair work
• Settlement of monthly utility payments for electricity, water, gas, and telephone services
• Providing transport facilities for elders for both daily needs and medical appointments
• Routine medical checkups and required treatments
• Assistance with funeral arrangements when necessary
Lions members visited the Elders Home twice a week to inspect the progress of the work, maintain the quality of care, and offer personal support to the residents. Their consistent presence highlights the club’s strong dedication to improving the comfort, dignity, and well-being of the elders.
