"The Loving Hand of Eravur People": Relief Efforts for Titwah Cyclone Victims An extensive community-driven relief effort, titled "The Loving Hand of Eravur People" (ஏறாவூர் மக்களின் நேசக்கரம்), has been launched to support victims affected by the Titwah Cyclone. The campaign is a collaborative initiative spearheaded by various Eravur public organizations working together to gather essential aid. Collaboration and Leadership The relief operation received notable support with the joining of Lion Usaith Mohamed, Secretary of the Lions Club of Kattankudy MAF Excellence. The initiative has garnered widespread community participation. Contributions have been enthusiastically received from children, mothers, and affluent individuals, all determined to ensure their support reaches the affected population. Appreciation and Gratitude The organizing bodies extended their heartfelt appreciation to the community-level organizations and volunteer teams who dedicated their time and cooperation to the fundraising efforts. The successful initial collection was acknowledged with gratitude: Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God). Initial Collection Summary The first phase of the collection yielded substantial financial and material support: Cash Donation (Public) Rs. 934,697/- Total Fund (Including Bank Transfers) Rs. 1,446,557/- Material Aid Goods for 8 Lorries NOTE: To: The Cabinet Secretary / District Chairperson (CPE) Lions Clubs International Subject: Confirmation of Participation and Official Statement Regarding Project Attire – Cyclone Ditwah Relief Dear Sir/Madam, We are writing to officially confirm the participation of our club in the Cyclone Ditwah Relief Distribution held on December 5, 2025, in Eravur. This project, chaired by Lion Usaith Akikhan, MAF, was a critical emergency response coordinated in collaboration with the Eravur Masjids to provide immediate dry rations to flood victims during a period of severe weather and logistical instability. Regarding the District Evaluation Policy concerning official attire and branding, we wish to clarify the circumstances at the project site: Emergency Nature: Due to the "critical time" and the rapid onset of the cyclone, our members had to mobilize instantly for the collection and distribution of goods to ensure the safety and food security of the victims. Logistical Constraints: Given the heavy flooding and the urgency of the mission, it was not feasible to transport the official District T-shirts or the heavy Club Banner to the affected areas without risking damage to the materials or delaying the relief work. Club Representation: While the District T-shirt was not worn, our Project Chairman, Lion Usaith Akikhan, was actively on the ground representing the association while wearing an official Lions Club T-shirt. This letter serves as formal documentation that the relief activity was an official project of the Lions Club of [Your Club Name]. The dedication shown by Lion Usaith Akikhan during this disaster reflects the true spirit of "We Serve," prioritizing human life and immediate aid during a national crisis. We kindly request the District Evaluation Committee to accept this letter and the attached project photos (showing the member in Lions attire) as sufficient evidence of our club’s active participation and contribution to this major event. Thank you for your understanding and for your continued leadership. Yours in Service, Lion Bilaal Kaleel Club President
