Caring for Elders (Maintenance) – October 2025
The “Caring for Elders (Maintenance)” project was successfully carried out at the Lion’s “Sanasuma” Elders Home, Amunudowa, Bandarawela, throughout October 2025. This continuous initiative aims to ensure the smooth functioning, upkeep, and comfort of the elders residing at the home.
The monthly support covered:
• Regular building maintenance and minor repairs
• Monthly payments for electricity, water, gas, and telephone services
• Providing transport facilities for elders’ daily and medical needs
• Routine medical checkups and essential treatments

Lions members actively engaged in the project by visiting the Elders Home twice a week to monitor ongoing work, ensure high standards of care, and personally attend to the needs of the elders. Their consistent involvement reflects the club’s deep commitment to enhancing the quality of life of the residents.
