Food and Drinking Water Support for Cricket Tournament
As a further contribution to the fundraising cricket tournament organized by the Leo Lions Club of Next Gen Unity on 26 August 2026 at Paddalipuram Ground, Batticaloa, the Lions Club of Batticaloa Singing Fish provided food and drinking water for the players participating in the tournament. With approximately six teams taking part in the event and players engaged in several hours of continuous sporting activity, the club arranged food 7 portions for the participating teams together with eight 5-litre bottles of drinking water to support their nutritional and hydration needs throughout the tournament. The initiative was planned as a practical form of service to ensure that the players had access to basic nourishment and sufficient drinking water while participating in the sporting activities. Beyond providing refreshments, the project created an atmosphere of care, hospitality, and fellowship among the participating teams, volunteers, Lions, and Leo members. By extending this direct support, the Lions Club of Batticaloa Singing Fish demonstrated its commitment to the wellbeing of participants and highlighted the practical, people-centered nature of Lionism, while further strengthening friendship, cooperation, and fellowship among the clubs involved in the fundraising event.
