The Bandarawela Lions Club Continued Its Major Ongoing Community Service Project By Providing Essential Monthly Support To Senasuma Elders’ Home, Amunudowa, Bandarawela.
The Elders’ Home Accommodates 38 Elderly Residents And Is Supported By 7 Staff Members, Making A Total Of 45 Beneficiaries Receiving Daily Meals And Essential Support.
As Part Of The Project, The Club Supported The Provision Of Three Daily Meals, Including Breakfast, Lunch And Dinner, Together With Tea And Other Essential Food Requirements. The Average Cost Allocated For Each Meal Was Approximately Rs. 500 Per Person.
Monthly Food Expenditure Calculation:
Total Residents And Staff: 45 Persons
Cost Per Meal Per Person: Rs. 500
Three Meals Per Day: 45 × Rs. 500 × 3 = Rs. 67,500 Per Day
For 30 Days: Rs. 67,500 × 30 = Rs. 2,025,000
In Addition To Meals, The Project Also Supports The Provision Of Dry Rations, Fruits, Meat, Fish, Eggs, Personal Hygiene Items, Soap And Other Essential Necessities, As Well As The General Maintenance And Operational Needs Of The Elders’ Home.
